Cholthira Satyawadhna is a Thai anthropologist and a human rights educator. Since 2001, she has served as Director of the Thai-Asian Studies Center, and Rangsit Research Institute, Rangsit University, Thailand. She is also a literary critic and a textile specialist and has published various books on Thai human and community rights, indigenous women’s voices and identities, cultural survivals, artifacts, language and literature, rituals and oral traditions, philosophies and reconstructions of ethnohistory of the indigenous groups in Thailand, SEA, and South China. Prof. Satyawadhna received her Ph.D. in anthropology from Australian National University, and has held various research grants from the Thailand Research. As a , she is writing a book on Thailand crises and the role of women in efforts to transform Thai society.
